The ISOP Nominating Committee is now soliciting nominations for several key positions for the 2025 elections. We encourage all members of the Society to consider serving in the following elected roles:
- President-Elect
- Awards Committee Chairperson
- Trainee Member
- Three Members of the Nominating Committee (serving one-, two-, and three-year terms)
These positions are elected by the entire membership of the Society, at least two members in good standing must appear on the ballot for each office.
Additionally, the Nominating Committee invites expressions of interest from ISOP members in good standing for the position of Program and Meeting Committee Chairperson. This position is appointed by the ISOP officers, rather than through a general election.
Please note, there will be no election for Member-at-Large this year, and fewer Nominating Committee members will be elected due to recent changes in our By-laws.
If you are interested or would like to nominate a colleague, please submit your nominations by February 1, 2025. We look forward to your participation in shaping the future of ISOP!
For more details or to submit a nomination, please contact Euki Yazaki, the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee. Please submit your nomination together with the ISOP Biosketch.
Note: Self-nominations will be added to the ballot, except in cases where a majority vote of the Nominating Committee rejects them.
All terms of newly elected/appointed officers/members start right after the ICOP 2025 meerting. Voting members of the ISOP Executive Committee attending the Society’s Annual Scientific Meetings during their terms are eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses and registration fees.
