Holz-Conner Award

Lyngbya

The Holz-Conner Award was established to honor George Holz and Robert Conner. Its purpose is to increase membership and enrolment in the society by supporting the participation of students and underfunded (generally young) investigators at Society’s annual meetings. It currently provides up to $1,500 per person, to support the travel and accommodation needs of applicants who are presenting their work at the annual Society meeting. Only members of the Society may apply. Application dates will vary, depending on the timing of the annual meeting. The deadline this year is March 2nd, 2020. For details, download the application form here and return it to the Chair of the Awards Committee by the required date (GMT). Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Holz Conner Travel Awards were granted to 38 students in 2018 and to 55 students in 2019, thus allowing a greater number of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to attend the meetings.
